Our CEO, Togami, spoke at the Agricultural Working Group & Rural Hybridization (AgWG) session at the international information network conference “APAN59”.

The theme was “Current Status and Issues of Sensor Network Utilization and Information Utilization in Agriculture”. He spoke about the achievements of e-kakashi, which has led to improved productivity, such as increased yields and reduced pesticide spraying, in more than 10 countries, including Japan.

Many agricultural problems are common around the world, and the participants were very surprised by the examples of how data has been used to solve them. Our work in educating and developing human resources in areas where e-kakashi has been introduced, to help promote the use of data, aroused a lot of interest and we received many enthusiastic questions about specific methods.

Looking to the future, there were high hopes that the ability to easily measure and predict soil nutrients would enable even more precise agriculture.
